PNEUMATIC TUBE SYSTEM (PTS)
Pneumatic pipes or capsule piping, also known as a pneumatic mail system or PPS, are systems that move pipes using compressed air or partial vacuum. Unlike conventional pipelines, which transport liquids, they are used to transport solid objects.
Today, the Wellness Inc has a dominant influence on innovation and services in the healthcare sector through its collaboration with HANAZADER, an Austrian company with more than 30 years of experience in large hospital pneumatic tubing systems.

The safety seal holder sets new standards with its incredibly easy opening, leak resistance and potential use in automatic loading and unloading systems. Hospital staff's demands for faster and easier manual handling of the carrier have greatly influenced the design of pneumatic tubing systems.

HISTORY
  • invented by William Murdoch in 1836.
  • The Victorians were the first to use capsule piping to transmit telegraphic messages or telegrams to nearby buildings from telegraph stations.
  • Typically used for small parcels and documents, including as cash carriers in banks or supermarkets.
  • can be used to transport people.
  • in the United States, drive-thru banks often use pneumatic tubes to transport cash and documents between cars and tellers.
  • Most hospitals have a computer-controlled pneumatic tube system to transport documents and drug samples to and from laboratories and nursing stations.
  • many factories use them to quickly deliver parts to large campuses.
  • many large stores use systems to securely transport excess cash from tills to back offices and send change back to cashiers.
  • NASA's original Mission Control Center had pneumatic tubes connecting control consoles to personnel support areas.
GENERAL
The heart of every system is a blower that provides the necessary positive or negative pressure. The power must correspond to the weight of the load, the length of the route and the height of the track. With the help of diverters, the pipe is divided into several threads that lead to individual stations. Every system has a central controller that converts data from Ethernet to the CAN bus; it transfers data from PC to devices. He is responsible for managing a separate line. Media is sent and received from stations. Our PipeControl software calculates the shortest route to your destination. The software is the same for all systems, making it easy to expand an initially small system into a complex system. Every system needs what is called an autonomous station, where multiple carriers can be dropped. Endstations or DiverterEndstation are often used for this purpose.

Laboratory samples
To ensure high quality laboratory samples, samples must be transported under stable conditions and quickly delivered to the laboratory. Adding state-of-the-art individual controls to the blend ensures gentle delivery of capsules in pneumatic tubes, ensuring quality. Moreover, valuable time of qualified personnel is saved since samples do not have to be transported manually to the laboratory.
Emergency transport
When every second counts, capsules must be delivered quickly and reliably. In this way, emergency transport has priority throughout the system and all associated transport data is stored in the software. A unique monitoring system informs the sender and recipient about the status of the shipment. Shipments can also be tracked in real time using graphs.
Transportation of medicines
Maintaining high safety standards is essential, especially when transporting drugs such as morphine. Using identification systems such as RFID, magnetic cards or PIN codes, unauthorized personnel cannot send or receive goods. A seamless documentation system records the exact route of the medicine until it is removed.
Laboratory lines
Since capsules are usually shipped and received from the laboratory very frequently, the rapid transport of these capsules is of great importance. A unique multifunctional delivery line directly connected to the distributor allows for continuous transport of capsules to and from the laboratory, saving time and space. Instead of piling up in the laboratory, empty capsules are quickly delivered to the distributor. From there, they are automatically sent to your home without manually entering an address. Incoming capsules smoothly slow down and slide along the rails.
Special Requirements
A wide range of hardware and software settings allows you to deliver critical products such as blood samples, tissue samples or cytotoxic agents. Each of these items has its own unique requirements during transportation. Blood samples should be sent with minimal vibration and at low speed to avoid hemolysis. Modern frequency converter control allows transport speeds to be dynamically reduced from 6 m/s to approximately 3 m/s. Emergency goods such as tissue samples are given priority in the system so they reach their destination as quickly as possible and without delay. Cytostatics or morphine require a high level of security, which is ensured, for example, by authorization systems and locked bins.
